With the guidance of some very helpful established breeders we have been able to set up our Bengal breeding program here in South Australia.
Our focus has been on selecting the highest quality bengals from breeders who are ethical, knowledgeable and put the health of their Bengals first. All of our Bengals are tested for FIV & FeLV before entering the cattery areas.
We plan every mating with the intent to improve the breed. We don't breed just to supply the kitten market which is being over populated with poor quality examples of the breed. We have never bred more than a single litter in year with our girls, our focus is on quality. We are guided by ethical established breeders with over 10 years history of their breeding lines. Because we are not motivated by selling breeding kittens for profit we have undertaken a commitment to our Bengals and our Mentors, not to sell breeding cats for several years, if ever. We are proud of our strong ethics & our commitment to the Bengals welfare.
Bengal cats won our hearts several years ago when we purchased our first pet Bengal. Highly Interactive, Incredible Wild looking Cats and very entertaining to have around the home. Yes Bengals really do love water, don't be surprised to find them standing at your feet in the shower. This is one of our 8wk old Bengal Pets who demands to be let in the shower.
I would suggest if you are looking for more information on the Bengal breed, check out "The International Bengal Cat Society" TIBCS website. www.tibcs.com. We are also members of this organisation and adhere to their code of ethics for Bengal Breeders.
If you are looking for a Bengal Cat or kitten, do as we did and talk to several Registered Bengal Breeders in your area. There are some good ethical breeders out there who take a lot of pride in their Bengals and operate with integrity.Choose carefully as the correct choice will mean you will have a companion for many years.
